Jaipur Sightseeing Taxi — Full-Day Local Tour with Fixed Fares

Jaipur is a full-day city. The forts are spread across a ridge to the north, the palaces sit in the walled old city, and the best sunset is a drive up another hill entirely. Trying to see it by app-cab means re-booking at every stop, waiting in the sun, and explaining your route a dozen times over.

A full-day sightseeing taxi solves all of that for one fixed price. The car is booked for you for the day — eight hours and eighty kilometres — the driver waits at every stop, knows the parking and the timings, and adjusts the plan if you’re moving faster or slower than expected. What a full day covers

A standard Jaipur sightseeing day comfortably covers six or seven of these, at a pace that leaves you time to actually look:

• Amber Fort — the hilltop fort-palace 11 km north, best seen early. Two hours well spent.
• Panna Meena ka Kund — the symmetric step-well below the fort. A ten-minute stop most buses skip.
• Jal Mahal — the palace in the middle of the lake. A photo stop, not a visit.
• City Palace — the still-royal heart of the old city, with the famous Peacock Gate.
• Jantar Mantar — the 18th-century observatory where the instruments still work. Best with a guide.
• Hawa Mahal — the honeycomb “Palace of Winds”, best photographed from the café across the road.
• Nahargarh Fort — the sunset viewpoint looking down over the whole lit-up city.
• Albert Hall, Birla Mandir, Patrika Gate — added in as time and interest allow.

Our fixed fares

A full day is counted as 8 hours and 80 kilometres within the city. These fares include fuel, driver allowance, toll and parking:

A licensed guide can be added for around ₹1,500 for a half day or ₹2,500 for a full day, in English or Hindi. Foreign-language guides are quoted on request.

What’s not in the fare, and why: monument entry tickets are paid separately at the counter. Ticket prices change from time to time, so we keep them out of the quote rather than pad the fare — but your driver knows the current rates and will tell you the exact total before you leave the hotel. The Jaipur composite ticket, which covers Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall and Nahargarh, is usually the cheapest way to do it.

Why book with us
