The route
From Jaipur, drive to Ranthambore National Park, one of India’s best places to see wild tigers, set around a thousand-year-old fort. We book your safari permits in advance and in your name — this matters, because permits are limited and sell out in season.
Then to Bharatpur and the Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO-listed wetland that is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in Asia, spectacular in winter when the migratory birds arrive. Finish at Agra for the Taj Mahal, an easy drive on.

Do safari permits need to be booked in advance?
Yes, strongly. Ranthambore safari permits are limited and sell out in peak season. We book them in your name ahead of time — this is one of the main reasons to arrange the trip through us rather than turning up.
When is the best time for Ranthambore and Bharatpur?
October to March is best for both. Bharatpur's migratory birds peak in winter. Ranthambore is open October to June, with hotter months sometimes offering good sightings around water sources, though the heat is intense.
